What is the Darwin Symphony Orchestra Club Club 250?
The Darwin Symphony Orchestra is a not-for-profit organisation comprising over 65 volunteer musicians committed to passionate live music performances for our community. The DSO is a valued and accessible community resource. The Club 250 provides an opportunity for you to support the DSO by donating through DSO Annual donations made by 250 supporters will allow the DSO to plan its wonderful program of music with confidence. Neither DSO membership is necessary to join the Club 250.
Who can join the Club 250?
Anyone who is prepared to commit to an annual donation of $250 can join, including a company. A company may make more than one donation and have more than one place in the Club. Once 250 supporters have been accepted in a year, access to the Club will close until the following year.
What will the DSO do for Club 250 supporters?
Your generous support will be acknowledged by listing your name on the DSO website as a supporter of the Club 250. If the donation has been made by a company, the company name will be listed. You will be emailed regular information on upcoming performances and events of the DSO. A Club 250 annual event for supporters is planned.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. DSO has worked to establish the Club 250. DSO holds deductible gift recipient status and therefore all donations made to DSO are tax deductible. Donating through the Club 250 does not constitute membership of DSO.
How do I join the Club 250?
Access this Fact Sheet and our Donation Form. Your donation of $250 can be made via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or cheque payable to FODSO. On payment you will be issued a formal receipt on behalf of FODSO which can be used for taxation purposes. The Club 250 year goes from anniversary payment. You will be automatically issued with an invoice on your anniversary of paying.
