Get DSO on the road!

For the first time in a decade, we are taking the whole orchestra on the road for an NT Tour!
Help us reach our $50,000 fundraising goal to get us there.

Our orchestra has a proud tradition of bringing music across the Northern Territory. For 35 years we have performed in beautiful places, from Nitmiluk Gorge, to Uluru, Nhulunbuy, Katherine, Alice Springs, and Kakadu, to name a few.

We are passionate about sharing beautiful music with people across the Territory, and we believe music has the power to inspire and strengthen us as a community.

In 2025, for the first time in ten years, we plan to bring inspiring orchestral performances to Katherine, Tennant Creek, and Alice Springs. As we travel, we will connect with communities through education workshops, strengthening our relationships, and increasing the impact of these extraordinary experiences.

Why we need your support

Touring across the Territory takes a big commitment of resources and planning.

With 65 musicians, 15 staff and crew, and all of our instruments and equipment travelling long distances, we need your support to get us there.

Help Us Protect our Instruments on the Road

DSO needs to purchase new road cases to protect our precious instruments and equipment. After 35 years of concerts, tours and outreach programs, our road cases have fallen into disrepair. We need to purchase new road cases that we know will go the distance!

A set of new road cases will cost $20,000. These new road cases will not only be used for the 2025 Tour - they are an important investment that will protect our instruments for many years to come.

We have set a fundraising goal of $50,000, with donations enabling us to purchase our new road cases for $20,000, and $30,000 to support transport, accommodation, and staging costs for our party of 80 in each location on the tour.

We take your support with us wherever we go

Your gift of any amount will help us to take the orchestra on the road, and support us to keep transporting our precious instruments for many years to come.

For any donation over $100, we invite you to make your mark!

Choose one of our fun shapes to be spray painted onto our new road cases, so we can take your support with us wherever we go.

Darwin Symphony Orchestra is a non-profit charity, and your support is vital for us to continue our work. All donations over $2 are tax deductible.

We will acknowledge your support on this page, or you can choose to remain anonymous.

Donors of $250+ are recognised as part of the annual DSO Patrons Program and enjoy a special connection to the orchestra, with special events and insights year-round.
