Music Making in Woolianna and Adelaide River

We had an absolute blast bringing two action-packed days of creative music workshops to the incredible students in Wooliana and Adelaide River on June 11 and 12.

These remote school communities dove headfirst into a world of sound. Students explored rhythm, body percussion, and storytelling, while discovering how to make music out of fruit salad rhythms and explored how music can change our mood and actions. We introduced them to the violin, cello, and bassoon, and they were able to craft their very own jellyfish tambourines and balloon bassoons!

It was a fantastic opportunity for the students to use music to connect, collaborate, and share their ideas in a fun, high-energy environment.

A massive thank you to the Victoria Daly Regional Council for their generous support as well as the teaching staff for their support in making these regional workshops possible! Can't wait for the next trip!
