Artist Spotlight: Jethro Llewellyn
We’re excited to introduce Jethro Llewellyn, one of the French Horn soloists performing in Island Signal, Island Song.
An emerging Australian horn player, Jethro is currently in his final year of high school and already performing regularly with the Darwin Symphony Orchestra and Arafura Music Collective in orchestral, chamber, and solo settings.
His musical journey includes national programs such as the Australian Youth Orchestra and the Australian Classical & Romantic Orchestra’s Young Mannheim Symphonists, where he has performed on both modern and natural horn. Jethro’s experience spans brass and wind quintets, chamber ensembles, and major concerto repertoire – including Mozart’s Horn Concerto No. 4 – as well as premieres of contemporary works.
Currently Principal Horn of the Young Symphonists, Jethro continues to develop as a versatile and expressive orchestral musician.
See Jethro perform live with the DSO in Island Signal, Island Song – tickets on sale now.
