A year of exciting and interactive musical experiences across the NT!

2025 is packed to the brim with engaging programs for families and communities. Whether you join us on tour, or catch us in Darwin and Palmerston for unique performances and workshops, we can’t wait to share music with your community.

In April, we hit the road for our Territory Tour, and along the way we can’t wait to bring education programs to schools in Pine Creek, Katherine, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs.

In September, we invite you to Choose your Own Adventure for an interactive exploration through music and storytelling. Poet and Storyteller Melanie Mununggurr and Composer Simon Bruckard team up to bring this rollicking adventure to life, performed by a daring ensemble of DSO musicians.

In October we return to Palmerston after the success of our first full orchestra concert in 2024 with Family Proms – with Palmerston Classics, and Palmerston Family Proms. Join us for two days of beautiful music and fun for the family.

Finally, our year-round Young Artists Program continues, offering exciting musical experiences and orchestral training for young musicians in year 7 – 12. In 2025 our Young Artists will have a very special opportunity to feature in the interactive and immersive performance Gene Tree: Listen. Now. Again by acclaimed company St Martins Youth Arts Theatre, and presented with Corrugated Iron Youth Arts and Darwin Fringe Festival.
